Pete Best, Owner/Managing Director & Scott Illingworth, Senior Sound Designer at Best FX
Pete and Scott are prime examples of interest becoming passion, and passion becoming success.
Pete’s creative journey started in 1982 when his interest in sound lead him to start mixing live bands. Scott on the other hand, had the instrument in hand, and studied at the Adelaide Conservatorium for four years in Jazz Performance and Compositions. These backgrounds set the foundations that lead them into the working world of sound.
With such a vast range of skills (film, music, live, edit, design), Pete and Scott advise to find your interest first, establish the skills you feel comfortable doing, and hunt down the initiatives that can help you get a foot in the door.
