Less work, more play

In the creative industry the traditional hours of 9am – 5pm seem to mean little. Creative minds start their day early, working before the first light of day and into the darkness of the night.

Even when you finally leave the physical space of the office, your brain continues in work mode to contemplate today’s brief and design tomorrow’s great campaign.

All work and no play makes life pretty boring, that is why Becq Hinton, an Art Director from Jamshop believes that ‘The most important thing about working in a creative field is having a life outside, because if you don’t travel, if you don’t have other random hobbies and you just work all the time what do you have to draw on for inspiration?’
